Welcome to the Saloman Lab!Neurobiology and Neuroimmunology
About the Lab
The Saloman lab seeks to understand how the nervous system communicates with other cell types (e.g. immune, epithelium, tumors) to regulate homeostasis and disease.
Hillman Postdoctoral Fellow for Innovative Cancer Research now accepting applications is now accepting applications through June 30, 2021. Dr. Saloman is available to be a mentor on innovative studies examining the role of neuro-immune interactions in cancer.
Welcome Yifan 'Paul' Zhou, to the lab. Paul's primary project will use wireless optogenetics to investigate pain in a model of neurogenic pancreatitis.
Dr. Jami Saloman has been awarded funding by the National Institutes of Health/National Institute of Diabetes and Digestion and Kidney Diseases (NIH/NIDDK) for her grant, “Mechanism Based Approaches to Pain in Chronic Pancreatitis (MAP-CP)” which seeks to identify robust and specific markers for specific subtypes of pain in human chronic pancreatitis.
